Michael Savage, the nationally syndicated talk radio firebrand who coined the phrase “Borders, Language, Culture” as a descriptor of his political beliefs, announced to his audience on Wednesday that “as of January, 2021 you will no longer hear Michael Savage on any radio station.”

Savage has been aggressively phased out of several radio markets in recent years, as several high-profile stations chosen to replace the Radio Hall of Fame inductee with more lukewarm, uncontroversial hosts.

In 2018, New York station 770 WABC replaced Savage, a New York native who grew up in the Bronx, with a show hosted by California-based neoconservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

Savage has since started The Savage Nation podcast, which is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, TuneIn, Google podcasts, and other platforms.

On Wednesday, Savage took to Twitter to announce, “yes, sadly so, as of January,2021 you will no longer hear Michael Savage on any radio station. ONLY ON MY PODCAST! (too many Chris Wallace’s took over radio),” after a brief suspension from Twitter.

Savage said on his podcast Wednesday that Twitter had banned him for twelve hours for citing statistics from the Center for Disease Control about the death toll from COVID-19.

“I don’t know exactly what I’m gonna do, it’s up to God,” Savage said in reference to his future as a politicial and social commentator.
