NBC News television journalist and upcoming presidential debate moderator Kristen Welker appears to have deactivated or deleted her Twitter account after voters raise questions about pro-Democrat partisanship throughout the 2020 series of presidential debates.

Welker’s account was discovered to have gone offline in the wake of the cancellation of the proposed town hall debate hosted by CSPAN anchor Steve Scully, who came under fire for asking Trump critic Anthony Scaramucci for help responding to the President and then claiming he was “hacked.”

Scully later deactivated his Twitter account.

Eagle-eyed voters noticed that Welkers’s account had gone offline on Friday.

The partisanship of debate moderators has become a recurring issue in the 2020 campaign.

In the first presidential, registered Democrat Chris Wallace routinely interrupted President trump, asked bizarre questions about “white supremacy” and “militias,” and mislabeled critical race theory as “racial sensitivity training.”

Wallace’s performance was so widely panned that users started viral hashtags begging for internet personalities Daniel “Keemstar” Keem and Joe Rogan to host the debate instead.

In the vice presidential debate, Nancy Pelosi biographer Susan Paige interrupted Republican Vice president Mike Pence more than Democrat vice presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.

Most recently, a planned debate hosted by CSPAN’s Steve Scully was cancelled after the Trump campaign refused to let the event be held virtually.

Former Biden intern Scully was also criticized for his apparent opposition to President Trump:

Scully served as an intern for none other than Delaware Senator Joe Biden, and went on to serve as a “staff assistant in Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s communication office.” Biden and Kennedy are two of the most high-profile Democrat senators in modern American history.

The friendship between Biden and Scully appears to have remained rock-solid over the years, as several decades later in 2016 the CSPAN host posted a picture of him and Biden together at a party with the caption, “Gotta love the @VP at the Biden Beach Bash ’16.”

Scully and Biden stand together with beaming smiles in the photograph.

Additionally, multiple screenshots are circulating that appear to show an undated Scully Twitter post featuring a New York Times article headlined, “No, Not Trump, Not Ever.”

Scully has since taken to claiming his Twitter account has been “hacked” by mysterious forces as explanation for his bizarre tweets.

President Donald Trump took the opportunity to criticize Scully on Twitter Friday evening.
