Footage and pictures of Welsh supermarkets and shops cordoning off entire areas with items deemed to be “non-essential” continued to flood social media over the weekend, as it appears the government there has now even banned books.
Following the implementation of a full national lockdown in the British country, people began sharing their experiences as they attempted to go shopping:

The confusion over what is and isn’t “essential” has angered people, after cooking, clothes and bedding sections were covered in plastic sheeting, but Halloween tat was left untouched:

Angry citizens have begun taking measures into their own hands:
A video out of Wales shows a furious shopper in a branch of Tesco tearing away plastic sheeting used to cover “non-essential” goods while decrying a COVID lockdown that is robbing people of “basic human needs.”https://t.co/40v8oPENk1

Residents of Wales are currently under a ‘Tier 3’ lockdown, which means people are being urged to stay at home, must not visit other households, while pubs, restaurants, gyms, churches and shops deemed “non-essential” are all closed.
This lunacy in Wales is astounding. Who judges what is essential?

But now, it appears the farce has taken a dark turn, with books and writing materials being banned:
What country bans the sale of books? Wales pic.twitter.com/qv41NZEPkH

Books are banned in Wales. @Tesco can you explain why these are ‘not essential?’
They are VAT exempt as they are deemed essential by the UK Govt? pic.twitter.com/gRXORPL0rf— Edd Sirr (@eddsirr) October 23, 2020
Wales have truly taken this second lockdown too far. Blocking off & sealing up “non essential” items in all stores so all we can buy is food. We can’t read, we can’t write, we can’t buy clothes, no birthday cards.. nothing pic.twitter.com/fcJdX8e6G0

So basically, right now, you can’t buy books in Wales. How is this the ‘new normal’? This is batshit crazy abnormal. pic.twitter.com/wamJPXN81f

Labour’s Wales.
Where books, baby clothes and birthday cards are banned.
We are so much better than this. pic.twitter.com/Brbm49WQgy

It appears books are now considered non-essential items and banned from sale in Wales. In times of crisis and anxiety, the life of the soul, the mind and the imagination is even more essential! Human beings need more than food and loo roll to thrive and flourish! pic.twitter.com/XWGOnghOrX

Reports from Wales of non-essentials being removed from sale. I think this is the most obvious clue that this plandemic is nothing to do with health and everything to do with social engineering.
How is a book a risk to anyone? https://t.co/eInF3M67lo

Books are an essential part of life and of being human. Communists stopped people reading. Look at what your idiocy has done First Minister @fmwales @talkRADIO @LBC #DrakefordsLockdown #LabourLogic #Wales #Cymru pic.twitter.com/KUPgPN9DOq

What is and isn’t deemed ‘essential’ is now completely up in the air as ministers have said people should be allowed to buy ‘otherwise non-essential goods’ if there were ‘exceptional circumstances’ that meant they were essential:
Some supermarkets have given up, and admitted that they are letting customers decide what is and isn’t essential.
Some residents are still trying to see the lighter side:
"Essential goods only."
First Minister of Wales bans the sale of non-essential items during lockdown.
Who gets to decide what is "essential"?
Dictatorship, drunk on power.

Meanwhile in Wales DON'T PANIC if you see me walking to the Butchers tomorrow.

For may it has already gone too far, however with thousands signing a petition to drop the draconian measures.
The petition to the Welsh government states: “We do not agree that this is a prudent or rational measure, and will create more harm than good.”
“We do not agree for example that parents should be barred from buying clothes for their children during lockdown while out shopping. This is disproportionate and cruel and we ask that the decision be reversed immediately,” the petition adds.
At time of writing the petition has over 63,000 signatures.
