ALASKA: Rep Calls On Murkowski To Join Electoral College Challenge

A letter addressed to Alaska Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, as well as Rep. Don Young, that calls on the state’s elected officials to join a challenge to the electoral college results on Jan. 6 has been signed by State Rep. David Eastmann, National File can report this week.

The letter in question lays out the case for Alaska senators to join a challenge spearheaded by Rep. Mo Brooks in the House and Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) in the Senate.

“Hearings have commenced since Election Day to investigate widespread claims of voter fraud,” the letter reads. “Those hearings have highlighted hundreds of affidavits. Specific instances of voter fraud were released to the public. The evidence is unequivocal. There was a concerted effort to steal this election from President Trump and Vice President Pence.”

The letter cites evidence of voter fraud uncovered in the states of Pennsylvania and Georgia, both of which were called for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“Senators Cruz and Hawley, alongside other members of the Senate, have announced that they, too, will be objecting to these results,” the letter continues. “It is no longer a question of if you will be asked to certify a fraudulent election, but how you will vote when the time comes.”

The document goes on to cite the precedent of 1876, in which Congress did not certify electors from contested states, opting instead to establish “a committee with members from the House, Senate, and Supreme Court.” Said committee “audited the election over a period of several days and came to a conclusion.”

“Today, millions of Americans across this great land do not believe that our election was secure or free of fraud,” the letter concludes. “We are calling on you to act. Look into this election. Ensure its validity. Ensure its integrity. Share with the people of Alaska the results of your inquiry. Above all, we ask for your commitment that you will not vote to certify a single elector whose appointment was secured through illegally cast votes.”
