John Kerry Defends Maskless Flight As American Airlines Says They’re Investigating Him

The Biden regime’s climate envoy, failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State John Kerry, was photographed sitting in the first class section of an American Airlines flight from Boston to New York yesterday, as was originally reported by The Tennessee Star and Neil McCabe. Now, American Airlines says they’re “investigating” whether Kerry wore a mask, and Kerry claims his maskless face was only revealed momentarily.

As normal Americans are regularly banned from flying due to failure to wear a face mask, in part due to American Airlines policy and in part due to the Biden regime’s executive orders on mask wearing, veteran reporter Neil McCabe posted, “@TheTNStar Exclusive: Biden’s Climate Envoy John Kerry took off his mask as he settled into a book in his first class seat just before takeoff today on an American Airlines flight [from] Boston to DC.”

“He was not eating, nor drinking. He was simply flaunting Biden’s mandatory mask policy,” added McCabe.

The image quickly went viral, with Donald Trump Jr. and many conservative influencers sharing the image.

“SPOTTED: Liberal hypocrite & Biden Admin official John Kerry flouting Joe Biden’s federal mask mandate,” wrote Trump. “NOTE: His mask is off & he isn’t eating or drinking. Will he be fined for breaking the law & banned from flying American Airlines like regular citizens would be?”

Kerry dismissed the photo as “malarkey” and claimed that “if I dropped my mask” then “it was momentary.” This seems to be contrary to the evidence provided in the photo, which reveals that he definitely removed his mask.

American Airlines, which recently made headlines when one of its flight attendants reduced an elderly woman to tears as they threatened to throw her off the plane because she briefly removed her mask to catch her breath while on a flight to visit her dying father, has responded to the incident.

“Masks are required on board our aircraft,” wrote the airline. “We are looking into this.”
