A statement made on Russian state television threatening to turn the United States into “radioactive ash” made headlines in international news this week, but U.S. President Joe Biden talked about using nuclear weapons and F-15 aircraft on Americans just a few months prior.
“The U.S. and NATO must roll back from our borders, otherwise we will, figuratively speaking, ‘roll up’ to their borders and create symmetrical, unacceptable risks… If you put a gun to our head, we will respond in kind,” Russian News of the Week state TV host Dmitry Kiselyov said.
“We’re holding very strong cards in our hands,” Kiselyov continued. “Our hypersonic weapons are guaranteed to produce a response that is so unpleasant for America to hear: being reduced to radioactive ash.”
In June 2021, Biden veered off course during a speech attacking the 2nd Amendment and talked about his fantasies of the government using nuclear weapons and F-15 jet aircraft on dissenting citizens.

In the speech, Biden went on to repeatedly bungle a quote a quote by Thomas Jefferson, who wrote “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
Biden said, “Those who say the blood of liberty – the blood of patriots, you know, and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government.”
“While the tree of liberty is not watered by the blood of patriots, what’s happens is [sic], that their never been, if you wanted to think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,” Biden said, going on to repeat his lie that the Second Amendment limited the type of firearms that could be purchased by the American people.
Unlike the Russian statements this week, Biden’s threats did not make much international news.
