A teaching assistant from Loudoun County, Virginia’s disgraced public school system has been arrested for assaulting a middle school student, marking just the latest school teacher or staff member to be charged with a crime against a child in the scandal ridden, far-left school district.
Loudoun County Public Schools grew to national notoriety last year when district officials pushed CRT on children, covered up the rapes of female students by a ‘gender-fluid’ peer, and turned on parents who held them accountable, shutting them out of school board meetings and ordering them to be arrested. The increased scrutiny on the wealthy northern Virginia school district has not only exposed a far-left agenda being inflicted on children at the expense of their safety but has exposed a pattern of abuse among many teachers and staff members which has included both sexual and physical assaults as well as the use of illegal drugs and alcohol.
This week, 34-year-old middle school teaching assistant Joshua F. Simons became just the latest employee of the local school system to be arrested by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, after an investigation showed that he had physically assaulted a young student in a classroom at Belmont Ridge Middle School on the morning of February 8th, 2022.

While details of the crime have not been made public, investigators say that the child suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault and have charged Simons with inflicting or threatening to create or inflict a physical or mental injury on a child in his care.
Simons’ arrest for assaulting a child comes as the Virginia AG’s office is in the midst of an investigation into Loudoun County Public Schools, something Democrat lawmakers have moved to kill, hoping to protect the district’s radical policies and policy makers.
The AG has also joined with parents in a lawsuit against Loudoun County Public Schools seeking court intervention as the district ignores Governor Glenn Youngkin’s executive order removing school mask mandates statewide, suspending students who dare to show their faces.
