Video: Google, PNC Bank Sponsor Drag Queen Story Hour, Dance Show for Kids in Austin, Texas

Google, PNC Bank, and a laundry list of other corporate sponsors backed an Austin, Texas pride month event titled “Rainbow on the Creek” and marketed to kids and their families this weekend. Along with a drag queen story hour and dance performances for small children, the day featured “interactive exhibits” from the area’s “gender affirming” health service providers.

The Rainbow on the Creek event was held yesterday at Austin’s Waterloo Park and was marketed to small children and their families as a “family-friendly celebration that connects, educates, and celebrates Austin’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities.” According to a webpage dedicated to the event, Rainbow on the Creek included more than 25 “activations” by LGBT non-profits and partners, “a Queer BIPOC and Latinx artisan & craft market,” as well as “gender-affirming care & sexual health resources, and many more activities for the whole family.”

Along with Google and PNC Bank, a number of big-name corporate sponsors backed the Rainbow on the Creek festival, including Tito’s Vodka, H-E-B Supermarkets, and Univision Austin – the left-wing, Spanish-language news network. Furthermore, among the event’s staunchest supporters was a far-left local church, with the First United Methodist Church of Austin advertising the event on its website and categorizing it under their “Mercy & Justice” tab.

Video footage emerging from the event shows grown men dressed in drag and performing hyper-sexualized dances for the crowd, which included small children, on a stage in Waterloo Park’s amphitheater. Among the performers was “Heyonce the Vocalist,” who can be seen in footage dancing on stage, scantily clad in a woman’s bathing suit, as children in the audience look on.

In other videos recorded during the “Drag Queen Showcase” portion of the Rainbow on the Creek event, drag queens can be seen dancing on and around children, grabbing their pretend breasts, and even doing the splits before bouncing up and down in simulated acts of sex.

Among the most sexualized performances of the night was that of the “Hydrated Queer Kitties,” who took to the stage in fishnets and thongs before engaging in simulated sex with one another – all as children looked on.

Journalist Tayler Hansen went deep undercover at the Rainbow on the Creek event and interviewed two members of the Hydrated Queer Kitties, getting their thoughts on the LGBT community and how it relates to children.

“I think it’s important that we normalize like anything that’s like being expressed on stage like sexuality and like love between you know like different genders and just having fun with that and having fun and expressing with our bodies on stage…things like that I think should be normalized,” one of the dancers told Hansen.

As for children and those concerned with their innocence and well-being; they need to “learn more about their bodies,” the dancer said.
