A greyhound dog in Paris, France has reportedly been diagnosed with monkeypox, contracting the disease from its gay owners in what is being reported as the first documented case of human-to-animal transmission of the virus, which has been largely isolated to gay communities after being introduced to the Western World at gay sex parties in Europe.
“A greyhound dog caught Monkeypox from their owners, a non-monogamous gay couple in Paris,” Dr. David Samadi, who regularly contributes medical news and viewpoints to Newsmax, wrote in a tweet, going on to describe the disturbing symptoms the dog has demonstrated.
“The greyhound developed an anal ulceration & mucocutaneous lesions,” Samadi explained, reporting that “the method of transmission was not made immediately clear,” by the French.

Monkeypox, which is of the smallpox family, produces painful scarring lesions and sores on its victims. Previously unheard of in the Western World, the disease is surging in gay communities after it broke loose at a pair of European gay sex parties.
Health officials have toed a fine line to avoid being accused of homophobia amidst the disease outbreak. Those who haven’t acknowledged the disease enough have been accused of ignoring it, while those who have issued recommendations on how to stop its spread, like not attending orgies, have been accused of being insensitive to gay culture.

Late last month, against the advice of the World Health Organization’s medical advisory board, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus unilaterally declared monkeypox to be a global health emergency. The action came despite the disease’s less than 1% death rate and the fact that it is being spread almost exclusively through men having sex with other men. The disease, which is akin to smallpox, only began spreading through the West after it was let loose at a pair of gay European sex parties, having previously been confined to Africa.
According to the CDC, “more than 99%” of US monkeypox cases are occurring in “individuals who identify as gay, bisexual or other men who have sex with men,” and purported vaccine doses against monkeypox are being funneled into cities with high populations of gay men, including New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
The first documented case of monkeypox in a pet comes on the heels of the first two childhood cases identified in the United States. After the cases were announced, Georgia Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly posed the question as to how children came down with an STD. The CDC hasn’t offered further details.
