AG Miyares, Hiding Behind Young Spokeswoman, Doubles Down on Monique Miles Firing After Lawsuit

Last Updated on August 19, 2022

Virginia GOP Attorney General Jason Miyares is hiding behind his office’s young spokeswoman as he doubles down on the cancel culture firing of former Deputy AG Monique Miles. The latter slapped Miyares and several members of his office, including the spokeswoman, with a defamation lawsuit this week. Earlier this year, Miles was fired at the behest of liberal media, after a Washington Post hit piece attacked her pro-election integrity Facebook posts.

National File contacted the Attorney General’s Office regarding Monique Miles’ defamation suit and cancel culture firing, asking whether or not AG Miyares plans to apologize for firing Miles at the behest of liberal media before falsely claiming that she resigned. In response, Miyares spokeswoman Victoria LaCivita told National File that the AG’s Office has no comment on the “circumstances of her departure.”

“Ms. Miles is no longer employed by the Office of the Attorney General, and we have no further comment on the circumstances of her departure,” LaCivita, who is also named in the defamation suit, told National File, calling the story of Miyares kowtowing to far-left media and allegedly lying about Miles’ firing a mere “distraction.”

“The Office of the Attorney General commits to vigorously defend against Ms. Miles’ claim for $1 million of taxpayer dollars and is confident that our legal position is strong. Despite this unfortunate distraction, the Attorney General remains resolute in protecting and serving the interests of the citizens of Virginia.”

National File EXCLUSIVE: Virginia AG Miyares Slapped With Defamation Suit After Cancel Culture Firing of Monique Miles

As reported by National File, former Deputy AG Monique Miles was fired by Miyares on February 10th of this year, after a Washington Post hit piece took aim at her pro-election integrity Facebook posts made over a year prior. Like countless other patriots across the nation, Miles dared to pose questions surrounding well-documented 2020 Election fraud and irregularities.

After she was fired, the AG’s Office publicly claimed that she had resigned, implying to the public that Miles had conceded she’d done something wrong by standing up for the sanctity of American elections.

When Miles pushed back on the AG’s resignation claims, announcing that she had in fact been fired, the Miyares office changed their tune, claiming that they’d “parted ways” with her due to a lack of “transparency.”

Along with AG Miyares and spokeswoman Victoria LaCivita, Chief of Staff DJ Jordan, Chief Deputy AG Chuck Slemp III, and Director of External Affairs Klarke Kilgore are all named in the defamation suit, both individually and in their professional capacities.

Each is alleged to have played a central role in the AG’s firing of Miles and subsequent cover-up efforts.
