Just when you thought the Biden administration couldn’t look any more stupid, it’s beginning to look a lot like at least one of the objects that was shot down by an F22 with a $400,000 sidewinder missile was a hobbyist balloon worth $12.
Aviation Week is reporting that the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade, a group of hobbyists are missing a silver-coated, party-style, “pico balloon” that was last spotted in almost the exact same place at the same altitude as the ‘UFO’ shot down in the Yukon Territory.
The ballon is worth between $12-180. They usually carry an 11-gram tracker, with HF and VHF/UHG antennas to update their positions around the world, according to the report.
Basically it’s just a bunch of nerds getting a kick of flying their tiny 6lb balloons around the globe, as seen in the video below:
Ron Meadows, the founder of Scientific Balloon Solutions (SBS), which makes the balloons for hobbyists noted “I tried contacting our military and the FBI—and just got the runaround—to try to enlighten them on what a lot of these things probably are. And they’re going to look not too intelligent to be shooting them down.”
As we highlighted earlier this week, Edward Snowden is one prominent voice among many who think the entire UFO flap was an “engineered” distraction to divert attention away from Seymour Hersh’s bombshell claims about the U.S. being responsible for blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines.
The objects were also a convenient distraction from perhaps the most serious environmental disaster in American history that continues to unfold in Ohio:
