Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called out Senator Tom Cotton and the rest of the neo-con “foreign policy establishment” in an anti-war tweet saying that pro-war posturing against Russia is “madness.”
“Senator Tom Cotton insists that Russia is weakened and that we ‘should adjust our planning for war with Russia accordingly’,” anti-war presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote in a tweet.
“That’s the kind of madness that passes for serious opinion within the foreign policy establishment,” RFK Jr.’s tweet continued, above a video clip of Arkansas GOP Senator Tom Cotton calling for ramping up American war plans in Eastern Europe during a meeting of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Throughout his remarks during the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Senator Tom Cotton called for a more aggressive US posture towards Russia.
He bemoaned the apparently slow pace with which US weaponry has arrived in Ukraine and claimed that the Russians are “spoiling for a fight” with the United States, citing the Black Sea incident in which a Russian jet dumped fuel on a US drone as an indication that Russia is gearing up for war with the United States.
He also made claims of Russian aggression against US military installations in Syria.
Both the United States and Russia have troops in the middle eastern nation, but the United States is there occupying roughly 1/3 of the country, while the Russians are there because they were invited in by Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad.

The anti-war tweet from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is just the latest of his anti-war takes to make a viral impact online. Opposing the US and NATO-backed escalation of the war in Ukraine, up to and including US confrontations with Russia, have been a centerpiece of his campaign, and have caused much chagrin for the “foreign policy establishment.”

During a recent interview on Fox News, Neil Cavuto shut RFK Jr. down as he compared the NATO encroachment on Russia through Ukraine to the Cuban missile crisis that was handled by the administration of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy.

RFK Jr.’s anti-war stance has made him the target of uni-party attacks, and the Democrats claim that to avoid the popular campaign from disrupting Biden’s re-election, the party will not “facilitate” a primary or any debates between Kennedy and Biden.
