South Carolina GOP Rep. Nancy Mace told the audience at Senator Tim Scott’s prayer breakfast about her relations with her fiancé, explaining how she was forced to jump out of bed and reject his advances on Wednesday morning to get to the breakfast on time.
“When I woke up this morning at 7:00, I was getting picked up at 7:45, Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me over by my waist this morning in bed,” Mace told the prayer breakfast audience.
“And I was like ‘no baby, we don’t got time for that this morning. I gotta get to the prayer breakfast, and I gotta be on time.’”
“A little TMI (too much information),” Mace added, before reassuring the audience that she and her fiancé would have time for their activities later in the evening.
“But um, he can wait, I’ll see him later tonight,” she said.

Mace has been widely mocked and criticized on social media for the prayer breakfast speech, which is being slammed as inappropriate “trash” considering the venue and the fact that she’s a member of Congress and a mother of two children.
A frequent darling of the corporate media, Mace has been praised for her liberal views on abortion, and her criticism of Roe v. Wade being overturned.
After the 2022 mid-term elections, she slammed the GOP’s embrace of pro-life policies and blamed the party’s protection of unborn children for its lackluster electoral performance.

Earlier this year, when Rep. Mace was supporting GOP establishment leader Kevin McCarthy in his drawn-out campaign for Speaker of the House, the South Carolina Rep. lost her patience when asked ordinary questions by National File about her support for Nancy Pelosi’s House Rules, which McCarthy and company were fighting to keep in place.
“Don’t be an asshole!” Mace shouted.
