FOX Demanded Jason Aldean Remove BLM Footage from Viral Music Video

Last Updated on July 28, 2023

6-seconds of footage portraying Black Lives Matter rioters has been removed from country music star Jason Aldean’s mega-viral “Try That in a Small Town” music video after FOX threatened legal action, claiming that the video’s use of a news clip on BLM rioting constituted a copyright violation.

The change comes after Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” music video made national and global headlines for its in-your-face-style defense of real Americans and real American values, with lyrics daring murderous left-wing rioters to bring their act to the small towns where men still produce testosterone and defend what’s theirs.

After news of the video change broke, Aldean was accused of bending the knee to the left-wing outrage mob that set upon the music video as soon as it hit the internet, and that compared Aldean and his fans to a racist lynch mob for opposing violent civil unrest and skyrocketing urban crime.

But according to a TMZ report, these accusations are inaccurate and, in reality, the change had to be made after FOX threatened legal action against the music video’s producers, for using a 6-second clip of Black Lives Matter rioters that originated from a local FOX affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Sources connected to the music video production tell TMZ … back when they were producing the video, the company that produced it reached out to FOX on May 8 and asked for permission to use the 6 seconds of video shot by FOX 5 Atlanta … showing violence at a BLM rally,” reported TMZ.

“We’re told the folks at FOX asked for more information … specifically the lyrics of the song. We’re told the production company sent FOX a link to the song — which was released May 19 — but the protocol was to send the lyrics in writing, which they never did,” the report goes on, before explaining that FOX threatened legal action against the producers for an apparent copyright violation, prompting the clip’s removal.

According to the same report, the legal threats from FOX were described to TMZ by the production company as a “polite ultimatum”.

Despite the clip’s removal, Aldean’s music video still features many clips of the left-wing violence that plagues America, including clips of Antifa/BLM riots.

As Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” becomes a smash hit, it’s also exposing the woke takeover of the country music industry, as Country Music Television (CMT) has banned the video from its station and several pop-country singers have come out to slam the song.

But that hasn’t stopped it from topping the charts.

Since its release, “Try That in a Small Town” has become wildly popular, ranking as the #1 country music song in America by multiple metrics, and sitting in the #2 position on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, which ranks the popularity of songs across all genres.
