Video: Mike Pence Gets Roasted for Pretending to Pump Gas in Campaign Video

Last Updated on August 9, 2023

Former Vice President Mike Pence is getting mocked and ridiculed online after posting a new campaign video in which he pretends to pump gas from a gas pump while discussing the rising cost of fuel. Making matters even worse, the Pence campaign sent out a mass text message, instructing voters to watch the video that the campaign claims “everyone is talking about”.

The new video from Mike Pence was apparently released to promote the fuel and energy independence policies that his campaign ripped from the Trump Administration and featured Pence hopping out of a red pick-up truck before pretending to fill it up with gasoline.

As Pence stands at the pump and talks about his energy plans, a constant beeping sound can be heard in the background which, as numerous social media users pointed out, is the sound of the gas pump asking its user to pay for the fuel, before actually being allowed to pump any of it.

In other words, Mike Pence was pretending to pump gas into a truck, like an ordinary American, but in reality, he was only there for a presidential campaign video op.

Inviting even more ridicule over the new video, the Pence campaign sent out a mass text message to voters announcing that “Mike Pence just released a brand new video that you need to see for yourself.”

“Everyone is talking about it,” the message claimed.

The Mike Pence gasoline video is just the latest stumble for the former Vice President as he runs a longshot campaign to be the GOP’s 2024 nominee for President, a campaign in which he’s been unable to surpass the 10% mark, receiving single-digit support in numerous national and state-level polls.

Days ago, Pence joined Fox News in an attempt to slam President Trump for challenging the results of the 2020 Presidential Election, but instead, ended up admitting that he could have rejected electors from contested states that made illegal changes to election law and experienced election irregularities.
