Rep. Carol Miller of West Virginia’s 1st Congressional District voted to turn local authorities into federal gun confiscation agents by funding the “red flag” laws that were planted in the more than $1.5 trillion 2022 omnibus spending bill that funded Joe Biden’s government. Among other things, the bill gave the Biden DOJ millions of dollars to enforce gun control measures at the federal, state, and local levels.
The 2022 omnibus spending bill provided for “back door gun control” by funding the Biden DOJ’s use of state, local, and tribal authorities as gun confiscation agents, inserting federal “red flag” laws into every state in the union, even those like West Virginia, where the 2nd Amendment is staunchly supported.
The anti-gun group Giffords, named for former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the wife of Hitler-costumed Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), praised Miller and the other legislators who voted to pass the massive $1.5 trillion bill because in doing so, they funded a historically large federal gun control grab, that extended far beyond the “back door” implementation of red flag laws.
The bill, the Giffords group said in a statement, would “prioritize efforts to prevent gun violence, bolster public safety, and improve public health by funding community violence intervention and gun violence research.”
It also created an entirely new group with the Biden Department of Justice to crack down on and discourage firearm ownership, and it directed money to numerous government agencies that have nothing to do with guns or gun ownership so that they too could expand their scopes of operations to include anti-2nd Amendment activities.
Among other agencies, the spending package supported by Carol Miller allocated $25 million to get the CDC and NIH involved in the gun control racket.
It also provided $13 million to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to inject anti-gun ideology into the “behavioral development of school-aged youth.”
And, as National File has reported, gun control isn’t the only tyrannical ticket item included in Miller’s massive spending bill vote.
Rep. Carol Miller voted in 2022 for the more than 2,700-page, $1.5 trillion omnibus spending package after Democrats held the entire federal government’s budget at ransom to force McCarthy Republicans like Carol Miller to grovel to them, rather than take a stand, and ultimately fund Green New Deal-style government subsidies for green energy and climate policies. The legislation was later signed into law by Joe Biden and was also supported by West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin and the donor class.
