After Secretary of State Mike Pompeo came under fire from the Trump campaign for not releasing failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s missing emails, which were stored illegally on an unsecured bathroom email server, Pompeo pledged to release the emails “so the American people can see it.”
“I was close to this even as a member of Congress when I served on the Benghazi committee,” said Pompeo in a Fox News interview. “We’ve got the emails, we’re getting them out, we’re going to get all of this information out so the American people can see it.”
“You’ll remember, there was classified information on a private sever that should have never been there,” added Pompeo. “Hillary Clinton should have never done that, it was unacceptable behavior. It’s not the kind of thing that leaders do, they don’t put that kind of information out.”
“You can see, whether it’s Russia or China or Iran or the North Koreans who would want to get their hands on this kind of information, classified information needs to stay at the right places, Secretary Clinton, when she was here at the State Department, did not do that.”
Pompeo was then asked if President Donald Trump has the ability to declassify the material covered in Clinton’s emails and make it possible to release them in their entirety. Pompeo indicated that this will happen.
“Absolutely, we’re going to get there, we’re going to get this information out to the American people can see it,” said Pompeo.

President Trump recently blasted Pompeo for his failure to release the documents in an interview with Fox Business. Via Politico:
Just a day before Pompeo vowed more revelations concerning Clinton’s emails, Trump skewered him during a nearly hourlong interview on Fox Business.
“They are in the State Department but Mike Pompeo has been unable to get them out which is very sad actually,” Trump asserted, adding that “I’m not happy about him for that reason.”
Trump, who has sweeping declassification authority, argued Pompeo should release the emails, disregarding whether they contain classified information.
“Forget about the fact they were classified. Let’s go. Maybe Mike Pompeo finally finds them, OK?” he said.
It has recently been established by intelligence organizations that Clinton likely began the Russia hoax by directing members of her campaign to engage in an information disinformation campaign meant to connect then-candidate Trump to the Russian government and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
