J6 Patriot and America First Congressional candidate from West Virginia’s 1st District, Derrick Evans has received the endorsement of the Oil & Gas Workers Association, a group advocating for energy sector workers and making American energy independent.
Oil & Gas Workers Association (OGWA) President and Found Matt Coday, who has also endorsed President Trump in 2024, announced the endorsement of Derrick Evans for Congress in a press release.
“Our oil and gas jobs, economy, the great State of West Virginia, and our national security are under attack every day. We need elected representatives who will stand up to radical ‘environmental’ groups, misguided politicians, and hostile foreign nations intent on destroying our Republic,” reads the release from Coday and the Oil & Gas Workers Association.
Evans, the endorsement went on, “knows producing America’s vast natural resources strengthens our national security. Derrick sounds the alarm on China’s aggression and radical ‘Green New Deal’ policies that threaten our way of life.”
“In D.C., Derrick Evans will work to secure our borders and elections, and put American workers and families first,” said the president of the OGWA, which has forty-seven thousand members in thirty-three states.
“The Oil & Gas Workers Association proudly endorses Derrick Evans for Congress and encourages every citizen in West Virginia’s 1st Congressional District to support him with your vote.”
The Oil & Gas Workers’ endorsement of Evans could prove extremely consequential in West Virginia, a state that’s long been the beating heart of American energy production and has spent years fighting off political, and at times physical, attacks on its coal and natural gas industries from climate radicals.
And that doesn’t bode well for the re-election chances of Evans’ GOP primary opponent, incumbent Rep. Carol Miller. Among other things, in 2022, Miller voted in support of the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill, which included funding for the anti-energy Green New Deal.
She’s also refused to back President Trump in 2024.
“West Virginia’s Oil & Gas Workers, together with our miners, are the heartbeat of the mountain state,” Evans said after receiving the OGWA’s endorsement. “So there’s nobody I’d rather stand and fight with than the OGWA and everyone they represent,” Evans said.
“By contrast, liberal Carol Miller rolled out the red carpet for Bill Gates when he visited West Virginia as he worked to bring his ‘green energy’ nonsense to our state, which is specifically designed to crush our coal and natural gas industries,” Evans went on to explain.
“Even worse, Carol Miller voted YES on Barack Obama’s ‘Green New Deal’ and taxpayer subsidies for the climate wackjobs. It’s BS, and West Virginians shouldn’t put up with it, let alone vote for a politician who supports it.”
“If we’re going to compete with China at all, we have to speed up federal and state permitting for drilling, pipelines, refineries, gas processing plants, and LNG export terminals,” Evans said, offering up a sampling of the pro-energy policies he plans to support in Congress.
“Greenies like Carol Miller won’t roll back costly, unnecessary regulations that hinder USA oil and gas production because she’s scared of the environmentalists,” Evans explained.
The endorsement of Derrick Evans by the Oil & Gas Workers Association is just the latest for the former West Virginia State Delegate who was imprisoned by the Biden DOJ for attending the January 6th demonstrations against election fraud, only to launch a populist campaign for Congress that’s gained national interest and is drumming up huge support in West Virginia’s 1st District.

“Derrick Evans has risked more than just about every American in his fight for Donald Trump, election integrity, and the America First movement,” said General Flynn. “I have no doubt his loyalty and determination to wage the battle against communism’s strong and evil hold on many of America’s institutions will never wane.”
